The Civil War Round Table of Atlanta, Georgia

Welcome from our President

Thank you for your interest in the Civil War Round Table of Atlanta. The Round Table was founded in 1949 by some notable Atlantans and has grown to be one of the largest and most successful Civil War Round Tables in the country. As we begin to commemorate the War's Sesquicentennial, the Round Table, in its 63rd year, is looking forward to continuing its tradition of promoting the serious study of this central event in American history. The only qualification for membership is an interest in the Civil War.

We have approximately 350 members, people of all ages and all walks of life, bound by the passion we share for this fascinating subject. We meet monthly in the early evening from September to June at the Ansley Golf Club. We attract outstanding speakers, both professional historians and amateurs, who present excellent programs on every aspect of the War. We enjoy the fellowship of our friends at both the monthly dinner meetings and at field trips held during the year, usually on Saturdays, to various sites of interest.

If you are interested in coming to one of our meetings please contact me at the e-mail address provided. In the meantime please go through our website and visit us on Facebook to learn more about us. We hope to see you soon.

Best wishes,

Gould Hagler
President Civil War Round Table of Atlanta
